We started the book club with an opportunity for our readers to suggest the themes they were most excited to discuss through Poll Everywhere - an app that allows participants to respond to potential questions in real time. We used the app to set up a virtual forum to collect prompts and themes suggested by our participants as the discussion wore on. We met on campus to discuss, but also offered the option for individuals to join remotely via Zoom in anticipation of Dr. Randy Christensen (author of Ask Me Why I Hurt)'s video conference with the group at 12:30. With the author's arrival, we were able to transform a list of 15 words into a successful analysis and Q&A session with Dr. Christensen!
